BEING JULIA... OR JULIE... OR JULIETTE... OR JULIANNE

What's an actress's easiest road to an Oscar nomination? Being Julia -- or Julie, Juliette and Julianne -- or starring in a movie playing -- or named for -- one. This year, three actresses who are being touted for an Academy Award nomination fit the bill: Julie & Julia's Meryl Streep, A Single Man's Julianne Moore and Julia's Tilda Swinton. Katharine/Katherine/Catherine/Kate/Cate aside, I can't think of another female name (Julia) or various variations on it that seems to have more built-in for-your-consideration status. Meryl, perhaps?
